The Coopers of Central Park
The Central Park incident, in which a white woman engaged in inflammatory, patently false and potentially lethal race-baiting of the police against a black man. Fortunately, the man recorded the incident for all the world to see. Coincidentally, both parties are named Cooper, which tells us more about our relatedness as human beings than meets the eye.
BUDKIWAC #2 — Terry Fox
The legend of Terry Fox even reached the towns and cities of Southern Africa. While it may have taken a while to penetrate the layers of self-absorption of a young Zimbabwean, it was and remains to this day an awe-inspiring story of courage, commitment and self-sacrificing generosity.
